Frieze
Frieze is not only a beautifully designed printed magazine, but also takes its form as an international art fair – in which the latest innovators in art and design showcase their work for the first time. This fair has a real buzz to it – if you attend you are completely emerged in art and really can’t escape (it’s quite an experience). The magazine itself shares the best current exhibitions to attend around London, with reviews, interviews and advice for emerging artists and designers.
Frame
Frame is the world’s leading interior design publication. Launched in 1997, the magazine has remained loyal to its mission: putting interior architecture on the map as a creative profession – equal to design and architecture. Published 6 times a year, the magazine’s design is playful and exciting; as is its content. Articles focus on the most up-and-coming innovations of interior design – from technology to colour schemes.
Desillusion
Desillusion attempts to marry two opposite worlds; the street and the beach – paying tribute to youth and subculture born and raised on surfing and skateboarding. Innovative and visually pleasing content is based around stories grown by a community of multidisciplinary artists, photographers, writers and designers – taking us inside the minds of the fresh young talent and most influential people of todays counter culture generation.
Human Being
Human Being, (surprisingly), are interested in the human; the everyday genuine stories and experiences that go amiss. Each issue takes an optimistic overview of the creative landscape, with an emphasis on the people and process behind the work. With its top notch photography and design, the bi – annual journal is a pleasure to look at, it is published in both English and Japanese and can be found in most major stockists.
Art Monthly
Art Monthly is the UK’s leading magazine of contemporary visual art, so it had to be in our favourites. Since 1976 it has been published ten times a year, it keeps you up to date with today’s fast-moving art world through reviews, interviews and in-depth articles. It also features a regular column on artist’s books, multiples and new media.
