Chaptr x AndTowns – New Partnership

Chaptr x AndTowns – New Partnership

We’re excited to share our new partnership with AndTowns, an initiative by the Southampton Institute for Arts and Humanities (SIAH). It comprises four AHRC-funded projects led by researchers at the University of Southampton that seek to develop understandings of culture, civic identity, health, wellbeing, heritage, pride and regeneration.

Founder at Chaptr, Joe Perkins, said, Chaptr was established in Southampton 12 years ago and nothing fulfils us more than working with local initiatives doing their part to support the arts and culture sector in the UK. During this time we’ve partnered locally with the RIPE, Art Asia, The Southampton City of Culture and the John Hansard Gallery, all of whom are doing their bit to support the sector and the local community. AndTowns was therefore a natural fit for us and we’re happy to be working with them!”.

AndTowns has partnered with Chaptr to create a new website due to a shared feeling that the current version appears tired, unappealing and ill-considered from a navigation and design perspective.

Joseph Owen, a research fellow at the University of Southampton, supporting the projects at AndTowns expressed his enthusiasm for partnering with Chaptr, saying, “The team has been excellent: communicative, responsive and hardworking. They have a keen eye for what looks good on the page, how best to navigate different content, and how to most effectively platform the key outputs from our projects.”

We want to help AndTowns showcase their important cultural work across the UK, with a new and compelling website that’s engaging, interesting, easy to navigate and will inspire people to learn more about AndTowns and its projects.
