Pick Me Up
Pick Me Up is a graphic arts festival located in the beautiful Somerset House in London, featuring up-and-coming artists and designers who inspired us with the best of new illustration, graphic design and other related disciplines. Now in its sixth year Pick Me Up delights us with a host of exciting working processes ranging from screen-printing, risograph printing and animation. Visitors are even encouraged to create their own work during the festival through different workshops engaging with different forms of graphic arts, leaving plenty of opportunites to speak with the artists and designers directly.

London Design Festival
London Design Festival has gained a reputation as one of the most innovative design festivals in the world, promoting London as the design capital of the U.K. The festival creates a platform for design initiatives, with over 350 events and immersive installations to be shown across the city. Up-and-coming exhibitions will be shown at Somerset House along with a stimulating programme at the Victoria and Albert museum. This festival really showcases the heart of London’s creative design community, with over 250 ideas from different partners represented, highlighting London’s crucial role in the creative economy all over the world.

Designival
As part of the International Festival for Business, Designival is an incredible networking opportunity for any aspiring designers; many key industry partners attend in a search for talented fresh meat. Leading figures from the industry will also come to meet, learn and debate with each other in a unique creative environment, giving inspirational talks which offer exclusive insight into their journeys of success. The day will be jam packed with a ‘design themed’ breakfast (top on our list), open studio tours across the city, portfolio surgeries and a well deserved after party to top it all off!

D&AD – New Blood Festival
Located in Shoreditch, the D&AD New Blood Festival showcases a wave of new creative talent in East London. Hundreds of recent graduates showcase work in an aim to launch their careers and meet important figures from the industry, and the best thing about it; it’s free! D&AD is tightly packed with events aimed to introduce recent graduates to the creative industry. Different categorised awards are offered such as the ‘Best designed stand’ and ‘Most attention grabbing work’. The festival also comes with the opportunity to attend a special boot-camp; the New Blood Academy, with 10 wildcard places on offer at the event.

DMY – International Design Festival Berlin
The concept for the 13th DMY International Design Festival Berlin is ‘Back to the Future.’ Exciting competitions and new categories promise an exceptional event with a central exhibition located at the Kraftwerk in Berlin, with the opportunity to explore new up-and-coming products and prototypes. International designers, companies and universities will showcase their recent work and give us the chance to learn about the processes that lead to final outcomes.
