Chancellor Rishi Sunak recently announced the UK budget, pledging almost £400m of additional funding to the devastated arts and culture sector, to help arts venues, museums and galleries in England to reopen in the aftermath of the pandemic.
With the majority of restrictions on galleries and museums due to be lifted by the 17th of May, they will need all the support they can get to prevent further job cuts and recover as they look to connect and engage with audiences in new and exciting ways.
If you’re looking for support or details on how to access funding, the Arts Council England provide useful information and resources on the Cultural Recovery Fund grants programme. Also, Art Fund has a Covid-19 funding programme designed specifically to support museums and galleries across the UK.
