Although the bulk of our work at BrightByte is for digital consumption, we strive to find inspiration in everything we see in the real world too. There is something about print magazines that captures our imagination like little else – the unique combination of gorgeous layouts, photography, typography and provocative and stimulating editorial content found in magazines offers an overwhelming source of creative stimulation. Here are 4 of our current favourites.

Offscreen

Offscreen is one of our favourites, an independent magazine designed to solve problems and build successful businesses that work creatively with the Internet and technology. The magazine includes features on the youngest leading entrepreneurs of our time, documenting stories of passion, good ol’ hard work and creativity that sustain the digital lives we live today. Readers are given a sneak peak, behind the scenes view of how websites, games and apps are brought to life by the latest creators and innovators. An essential read for anyone in this game.

Protein

Protein have been documenting consumer culture since 1997 and their printed journal features articles on art and design, science and technology, food and drink, travel, music, fashion and culture. Aesthetica is a life and culture magazine with features concerning architecture, fashion, film, music and performance.
